2009 Lake Glenbawn -- Round 1
Good to see so
many new faces show up and a very good turnout for the first meeting
with 70 + members.
Glenbawn as usual
was a great day made even better thanks to the guys up there who put
in a lot of work to prepare the track , It had been ripped and
smoothed with a few mod’s to some of the jumps to make it better
than last year, thanks guys.

2008 CRC
This
event just gets more and more fun each year. Members and friends
started rolling up as early as Thursday enthusiastic and full of
high expectation.
The weather was very kind and the crisp cold mornings
and glorious sunny days and an immaculately prepared track (thanks
Mitchell and Tommy the local neighbours) was more than the committee
could have possibly hoped for.
There were however plenty of hard luck stories this year as well as
lots and lots of gutsy performances by participants.

2008 Mt
Kemba Round 4
The first
round at Wollongong's Kembla track in a couple of years started off
cool with a damp and slippery track. Due to the condition of the
track and the trouble we had getting enough flag marshals, we had no
option but to shorten the track.
With the much shortened track, racing began. Due
to the bad weather the previous week, the track wasn't really what
you would call "vintage friendly". Riding the Willows section of the
track in practice was like riding the hardest hill in the wettest
enduro you could imagine - riders and bikes stuck all over the
place. The short travel bikes had a really hard time while the Evo
classes seemed to cope okay.
But with any vintage racer, racing is racing and,
all in all, it was a great day.
As usual, we'd like a big thank you to our
officials, scrutineers, flaggies, and lap scorers, without whose
help no racing would be possible.
Hope to see you all at Crawford River Classic in
July (check back of t-shirt for date).

2008 EVO
Challenge at Lake Glenbawn Round 3
What a popular event! We had riders setting up
camp early on Friday in anticipation of this being a great venue to
hold the 2008 Evo and Pre 85 Challenge.
With the track in excellent order thanks to the
workers at the working bee and the full support of Erik from Upper
Hunter Motorcycle club who organised access to some really good
machinery. It’s the best condition we have seen the track in for a
few years. The Gods played their part and only dropped just enough
moisture on the track to make it lovely and grippy for Saturday
practice and round one of racing.

CRC
for 2007 a Success
Well, this year we got it right,
avoiding the heavy rains in July by changing the date to August.
Although there was some rain on the Sunday, conditions overall were
good and another great vintage weekend was had by all.
With great support from both competitors
and local businesses, the 2007 CRC was another classic event. And of
course, there are still several rounds to go for this year.
